  • Atlantis, Atlantis, South Africa
    This adventure takes you through the basics of sandboarding, from learning how to stand up and gain balance to cruising down the dunes at high speeds that will get your adrenaline flowing! This is not as hard as you may initially think, so don’t worry if you have no previous experience with snow boarding or other board sports, our guides will show you everything you need to know to ensure you have an awesome day out on the dunes!

  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • A lot of of walking is involved.
  • Subject to favorable weather conditions. If cancelled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or refund
  • Sandboarding - Minimum age is 8 years.
  • Quad Bike - Kids ages 8-12 will be booked as a ridealong with the quad bike guide. Kids 13 and older ride their own bikes.
  • Children between 8 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • This trip requires a minimum number of guests/travellers in order to operate/run. If the tour is cancelled because the minimum was not reached/met, you will be offered a different date or tour, or a full refund.
  • The start time is subject to change and may at times run as a later morning or afternoon trip.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

My wife and I took part in the quad biking in Atlantis Dunes yesterday and had a fantastic time. The landscape itself is slightly surreal after the greenery of nearby Cape Town. Great views out to the coast and back to Table Mountain and we managed to get some great photos. Our guide was a guy named Giverson who was fantastic. If you can get him while you’re there, I’d certainly recommend. We got the practicalities of driving the quads out of the way quickly and after a bit of time to get used to driving on the sand we were flying around. We also seemed to go further into the dunes and down to some areas that the other operators in the area didn’t seem to be going too. Overall a great experience that didn’t take up the entire day and was a very easy drive to and from Cape Town. Very recommended.
